Our nomination in the Best Use of Technology: Health, Safety & Wellbeing category recognised the impact of remote crane operation in improving not just site safety—but operator wellbeing, inclusion, and connection. By relocating tower crane control to ground level, Skyline Cockpit is reshaping the role entirely: less isolation, more interaction, and a safer, smarter way to work.
The judges summed it up simply:
“This is how the future should look. An open door to a lot of potential in changing the construction industry.”
The recognition caps off an 18-month collaboration with Radius Group to bring this technology into active use across the UK and Europe. We were also proud to support the event as sponsors of the Best Use of Technology: Site Productivity award.
